These Red-tailed Black Cockatoo feathers arrived in a post pack from Charters Towers, Far North Queensland.

A great treasure, as I will probably never have another to put into Perspex….

Black Cockatoos are large birds, native to Australia, and usually found in woodlands.

The males have red coloured panels in their tail feathers, while the female has yellow spots on her head, neck and wings.
