One morning, a neighbour dropped off a bag of beautiful Rainbow Lorikeet feathers. After sorting hundreds of wing feathers from some select tail feathers, I was inspired to do “Starburst” using tail feathers…
I spend many hours sorting and boxing feathers into colours, sizes and varieties… and fear a gust of wind or a sneeze during this process!
Often we see the noisy, colourful Lorikeets winging at speed through gardens or parks, but to see their individual feathers displayed is a great treat – there colours are bright and beautiful.
