To create this work, I used 300+ GSM Fabriano paper and cut out individual butterflies to sit the feathers on, so they would look as if they may be hovering on the paper.
After many hours of gluing tiny feathers onto the cut outs, I popped them onto my favourite Italian paper. One of my other loves is Italy, whatever the Italians create is stylish and beautiful!
I used a variety of feathers and did not enhance their colours. Instead, this piece shows off each individual feather and it’s beautiful natural colours.
